What does "we bring the tire machine" actually mean?
It means the mounting and dismounting equipment travels with us. Most roadside outfits can only fit your spare — if you have no spare, or the tire itself is destroyed, they have to tow you to a shop. We break the old tire off the rim and mount a new one right there at the roadside, in a car park or on your driveway, and you drive away on it.
Can you supply the tire, or do I need to have one?
We can supply it. Tell us the size off the sidewall — something like 265/70R17 — and whether you want new or used, and we will bring one that fits. Used is the cheaper way out of a bad day and it is a perfectly good answer for a lot of vehicles; new is the call if the other tires still have plenty of tread on them.
What if I have no spare at all?
That is exactly the situation this service exists for. A lot of newer vehicles ship with a sealant kit and no spare at all, which is no help whatsoever when the sidewall is torn. Call us with the size and we will come out with a tire and the machine to fit it.
Do you do more than one tire?
Yes. If two or three are down, or you just want a set changed over without booking your vehicle into a shop for the morning, we can do that where the vehicle sits.
